Diane Aledort loves animals. She was a docent at the  LA Zoo before moving to the desert and worked at the Living Desert her first year here. For community service, each year, she volunteers at Animal Samaritans.

“I’ve always wanted to swim with the Dolphins and I got the opportunity a few years ago on a cruise thru the Panama canal,” says Diane.  “This took place in Puerta Vallarta in a huge salt water pool. We got to pet them , ride on their backs and get pulled along by them. It was one of the highlights of my trip.”

“I got to ride an elephant this September when I was in Thailand,” she adds. “We went to an Elephant Park and rode them for an hour. Afterwards, there was an elephant show and we also go to feed them. Another highlight for me.”
Diane recently received her Senior Real Estate Specialist(SRES) designation to better serve the active adult community. She enjoys her Sun City home and says she loves to share “her” community with others. As a Sun City resident, she’s active in many of the amenities this unique community has to offer and has full knowledge of all the floorplans that are available. She also, services the other active adult communities in the Coachella Valley.

Q & A About Heritage Palms Country Club

Friday, August 14th, 2009

Here are two questions that Windermere real estate agent Bonnie Peabody says she gets from almost everyone looking to buy a home in Heritage Palms.
“You told me about the 6 month rental restriction, but what if I want to have guests or family visit my home at times when I am not there, will I get into trouble?”
“No,” says Bonnie, “the rule was written by the developer and full-time residents really appreciate it. Your home can host your guests for any time with or without you being present. What they will not be able to do, however, is receive your full benefits, owner rate at golf course, use of the fitness center or pool. The golf course and restaurant are open to the public, though, and will be happy to take your credit card.”

“The second question that I hear most,” she says, is “How do you keep your HOA so low when you own all the amenities, golf, tennis, pools, fitness center, ball room and kitchen?”

“My answer is that the HOA has hired an effective manager and he, along with our elected board of directors, have been doing a great job of tracking and forcasting costs.”
