Linda Chen Olsen of Windermere Real Estate La Quinta Office (760) 485-6889

Windermere Real Estate welcomes Linda Chen Olsen to its La Quinta office at 47-250 Washington Street, La Quinta.  Linda, whose real estate career spans over a decade in the Coachella Valley market, brings a most impressive insight to her desert clients, especially those who recognize and appreciate the area’s presence and influence in the world of golf. Linda, a resident of PGA West for more than 25 years (and a full-time resident for nearly 15 of those years), has been an active golf member from the start.  Her dedication and hard work have served her well, leading to her record 15 awards as Ladies Club Champion. Numerous other professional titles include California State Women’s Champion, and three years on professional golf tour in Asia and the United States.  Today, she applies her considerably energetic approach in service to her real estate buyers and sellers. Specializing in PGA West and other luxury gated communities across the Coachella Valley, Linda’s clients appreciate not only her intrinsic knowledge of the desert’s higher end communities but her ability to communicate clearly with clients who may not be fully conversant with the Coachella Valley’s complex and varied real estate market. Nurtured by her extensive international travels, Linda speaks fluent Taiwanese, Mandarin, and even some Japanese, language skills much appreciated by her international clients interested in becoming a part of the desert’s vibrant multifaceted lifestyle. “Linda certainly represents the finest in today’s Windermere Realtor®,” says Bob Deville, co-owner, Windermere Southern California. “At Windermere, we recognize the huge range of features and opportunities that attract buyers to the desert. Not only has Linda built a legendary name for herself in the world of golf; she is able to apply that drive and dedication to her real estate clients. They clearly appreciate what she offers.”

Windermere and The Wrecking Crew to Rock the Coachella Valley

Friday, January 20th, 2012

Windermere Real Estate Southern California is synonymous with community service in the Coachella Valley. Windermere offices sponsor a great number of causes throughout the year, and individual agents contribute their own time, money and effort to myriad other agencies, services and interests.  With involvement by agents from Windermere’s La Quinta, Old Town La Quinta, Indian Wells Main, and Indian Wells Country Club offices, Windermere Real Estate is sponsoring a special screening of the documentary, ‘The Wrecking Crew’, about the musicians who played with the greatest musical stars of the 60s: The Mamas and the Papas…The Beach Boys…Cher…and Elvis Presley…all backed by this Los Angeles Sessions musicians group. Though the documentary has earned international awards and critical acclaim, distribution costs have kept the film from market. Proceeds from the Windermere presentation will go toward licensing so the film can be enjoyed by those whose lives were touched by this music. 50/50 raffle tickets benefiting the Windermere Foundation will be sold during the event, with prizes to include musical items signed by Crew members. The Windermere Foundation is one of the ways Windermere agents give back to their communities–funded with a contribution from every Windermere real estate transaction, the Foundation raises money for programs and organizations that provide shelter, clothing, children’s programs, emergency assistance, and other services to those in need.

The event, being held Sunday, January 29th in the main ballroom upstairs at the Indian Wells Country Club, begins at 6:00 with a Meet and Greet and cash bar, with screening at 7:00. On hand to represent the many artists in the film will be Denny Tedesco, producer/director, and three members of the Wrecking Crew: Bill Pitman, ‘Master of the Danelectro Guitar’ (Wild Wild West TV theme); Don Randi, who played piano for both Frank and Nancy Sinatra’s Las Vegas performances; and Hal Blaine, whose drumming marked such recognizable hits as Paul Revere and the Raiders ‘Cherokee Nation’.

Tickets ($15 General and $10 for Seniors) are available online, Click Here.

Jennie & Bob Robinson with their 'wonder dog' Riley Rose

Look out, WORLD!

Jennie Robinson, as half of the amateur golf duo of Jennie Robinson and Mina Hardin, is the hot new presence on the national stage.  They’re the 2011 four-ball Trans National Golf Association Champions, beating the field at Arizona’s Tubac Golf Resort.   Next year, watch for this terrific twosome to defend their title at Palm Desert’s gorgeous JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort.  Jennie, a Windermere agent at the La Quinta office, can swing a great deal…her clients have know that for a LONG time. But who knew she could also swing such a wicked club? BAM!

UPDATE!!

Jennie’s not the only golfer in the family! Bob and Jennie’s ‘wonder dog’, Riley Rose, is a golf ball retriever (she’s also an English Golden Retriever, but she doesn’t like to brag).  She recently donated 5,000 golf balls to the First Tee Junior Program.  And nobody hunts golf balls like Riley Rose…she hones in on wayward balls thought lost to mankind, carrying them gently back to the growing pile for contribution to worthy junior golf programs…so far, 8,000 and counting!

Windermere Real Estate was proud to be a Platinum sponsor of the California Desert Association of REALTORS® (CDAR) Golf Tournament at Desert Island Country Club on Wednesday, May 5. The Windermere Golf Team included agents Jennie Robinson (La Quinta), Jane Comelli (Rancho Mirage), Ted Morey (Rancho Mirage) and Peter Schmidt (Rancho Mirage). The team played to help raise funds for Semper Fi Air 29 and the CDAR Association’s Scholarship Fund. Windermere also sponsored a booth on Hole 9, handing out cold beverages and Windermere fans, organized by Palm Desert Broker Don Rossignol.

The proceeds will be divided equally between their Scholarship Fund for high school seniors and the Semper Fi Air 29 organization, which provides free air transport for Marines from the Palm Springs International Airport to the Twenty-nine Palms Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center.

“The event was a tremendous success. Our location on the course was perfect and we were able to help golfers quench their thirst with plenty of laughter and drinks!,” says Windermere Broker Don Rossignol.
