Windermere Gives Back to Local Communities throughout February

Thursday, March 14th, 2013

The shortest month of the year has come and gone, but it was packed with Windermere’s involvement with local charities throughout Southern California. Donations from the Windermere Foundation, from Windermere Southern California & SoCal Offices, and individual Windermere agents totaled in excess of $8,000 to local charities in February alone.

Windermere Carlsbad Supports Friends of the Women’s Resource Center

Windermere Carlsbad WRC Benefit

February kicked off with the Have a Heart for a Child event benefiting the Friends of the Women’s Resource Center in Oceanside. Held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Carlsbad, the event raised thousands of dollars in support of the Center which provides shelter and transitional housing for women and children. Windermere was proud to be a sponsor for a second year. Katie Alfrey, Windermere agent, and Brent Consedine, Managing Broker for Windermere’s Carlbad and Solana Beach offices attended the event which included a silent auction.

Both speakers related their first-hand experiences of the benefits of the shelter and transitional housing. The monies raised will be used to provide educational and cultural opportunities, including field trips to the local Museum of Making Music in Carlsbad, plays, school supplies, counseling and assistance revamping the playroom and playground at the shelter. Windermere Chauffeurs the Home Tour

The Children’s Discovery Museum of the Desert held their Annual 2013 Discovery Home Tour during February, and Windermere was there again this year to make it a smooth ride! For many years now, Windermere has donated the use of our commercial driver and the Windermere Bus, normally used for agent and office caravans, for the Museum’s tour of homes fundraiser. Windermere’s Greg Wootan graciously chauffeured event attendees to each stop on the tour and then returned attendees to the Museum in Rancho Mirage.

The tour of homes included the gorgeous home seen here, now listed by Windermere’s Roseanne Foxx. Located in Rancho Mirage’s exclusive Cypress Pointe is a contemporary gated community of 11 luxury homes and one available lot. Homes in Cypress Pointe are noted for their elevated view lots, impressive “boulderscapes” and oasis of waterfalls.

Windermere Introduces Linda Earlywine, Orange County Managing Broker

Monday, March 4th, 2013

Windermere's Orange County Managing Broker, Linda Earlywine

Windermere Real Estate SoCal is proud to introduce Linda Earlywine as the new Managing Broker for their Orange County offices in Dana Point, Laguna Niguel and Laguna Beach. Previously a Windermere agent, Linda has assumed this position with the passion, energy and commitment to agent support that she is so well known for.

With over 28 years of real estate experience, Linda’s impeccable work as a real estate agent, successful coach to new and seasoned real estate agents, and previous experience as a broker/manager quickly came to Windermere’s attention. Linda has been recognized by a number of national real estate brokerage franchises for her ability to successfully launch new office locations as well as grow existing offices. Her office management skills and coaching contribute to significant increases in agent productivity. She is well known for her impressive recruiting ability and agent retention throughout Coastal Southern California cities, including Long Beach, Huntington Beach and Fountain Valley.

“One of the things I appreciate most about Windermere’s non-competing broker policy is that it allows me to focus my full attention on our agents. I love being able to help agents build and grow their businesses. At the end of the day, it’s about how successful we can make every Windermere agent,” shared Linda.

Linda’s management experience with agents covers the full spectrum from jump-starting new licensees to guiding top producers to attain even higher levels of production. For 9 years, Linda served as the Director of Career Development for two real estate schools, working with other national trainers and recruiters. During her 6 years as a Real Estate Coach with Tom Ferry, Linda trained not only agents but real estate brokers, franchise owners and other real estate managers—leading to the development of some of the nation’s top producers. Linda has a true passion for the industry, and Windermere is pleased to welcome her to their Orange County locations.

“I have found a great fit with Windermere. I really appreciate that the owners, The Bobs, are very successful agents themselves. Their knowledge of the many facets of real estate industry is derived from personal, hands-on experience, not rhetoric. They are entirely focused on the success of each of their agents, and their marketing savvy and presence is off the charts,” said Linda.

“Linda brings a tremendous background as a broker, trainer, manager, and as a successful real estate agent herself. We are excited to have her as the new Managing Broker for our Orange County offices and are thankful for her time with us as a supportive and successful agent. Under Linda’s informed and highly professional management, we look forward to seeing our agents continue to grow and expand their business,” said Bob Deville, co-owner of Windermere Real Estate SoCal.

Read Any Good Books Lately?

Friday, December 30th, 2011
Julie Anne Brown, of Windermere Real Estate

Julie Anne Brown, of Windermere Real Estate

Everybody enjoys a good who-dunnit, right? Well, we’ve got one for you! “Murder Before Noon” is an old-fashioned page turner that takes place within the mystical and exciting world of Palm Springs real estate. It’s really fun to read a book about a place so close to home. And what makes it even more fun is that it was written by one of our own: Julie Anne Brown, a former Coachella Valley Realtor, and a current member of Windermere’s family of exceptional administrative staff. Julie writes from her own knowledge of the real estate world, and takes the reader on a twisting, turning insider’s journey, beginning with the discovery by Kendra McIntyre of a woman’s body in the walk-in closet of a home she is preparing to hold open. And then…nope. I’m not gonna tell you, you’ve got to read it on your own. The plot thickens…

Managing Brokers Clown Around

Monday, November 14th, 2011

One of the many important distinctions between Windermere and other real estate companies is the presence of a full-time, dedicated NON-COMPETING Managing Broker in each of its offices.  This means that agents, whether relative newcomers or 20-year veterans, have a knowledgeable go-to source for additional guidance and insight. It’s important work…and these Managing Brokers take their responsibilities very seriously.

Sandi Richardson & Marilyn Bauer, Managing Brokers for Windermere Southern California

That being said, once in a while these hard-working Windermerians have been known to allow themselves an occasional silly moment…as shown here in a snap taken last month at the California Desert Association of Realtors (CDAR) event with Franklin Loan Center.

Just in case you don’t recognize these two without their serious hats on, that’s Sandi Richardson, Managing Broker of the Palm Desert Cook/Hovley office, and Marilyn Bauer, Managing Broker of the Palm Desert San Pablo office.

Guests Celebrating the New Windermere Laguna Niguel Office

Wow, what a turnout! Windermere SoCal is thrilled with the warm welcome extended to its Laguna Niguel agents and staff by the people of Orange County.  Windermere’s temporary location at 27611 La Paz Road has already become a vibrant and integral part of this exceptional community.  Since opening this office just three months ago, Windermere has quickly expanded from 11 agents to over 40 agents, and even added 2 more offices with The Robin Milonakis Team at 24921 Dana Point Harbor Dr. #B220, Dana Point and the Veytia Group at 32351 Coast Highway, Laguna Beach. Windermere’s Laguna Niguel, Laguna Beach, and Dana Point locations include some of Orange County’s most productive and exceptional Realtors®, and like all Windermere SoCal offices, are locally owned, with dedicated, non-competing Managing Brokers, full-time Office Managers and front desk staff, and are open 7 days a week.

Windermere Laguna Niguel agents and staff welcomed visitors with a grand celebration and tour of its future home at 27941 La Paz Road (currently under renovation and on track for a late summer dedication).

“We are just bowled over with the reception we’ve received with our Laguna Niguel, Laguna Beach, and Dana Point offices,” says Bob Deville, co-owner, Windermere SoCal.  “Our clients have long appreciated the Windermere experience, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to now be able to offer it to real estate buyers and sellers in Orange County. With three new Windermere offices open in Laguna Niguel, Laguna Beach, and Dana Point, we now enjoy terrific networking opportunities for our other Southern California Windermere offices,” says Deville. “There has always existed strong crossover between Orange County and the desert, and now we are better able to fully service both areas while continuing to expand and serve the market.”

Help A Great Cause! Bring a new electric fan of any size to any Windermere Coachella Valley office! See our website for office locations www.WindermereSoCal.com

Each year, Windermere agents throughout the Western United States participate in a Windermere Community Service Day, an event where each office selects and supports a local project benefiting the community in which they live, work and play.

This year, Windermere Coachella Valley’s offices have designated Tuesday, July 26, as ‘Windermere’s Summer Cool Down.’ This very special Community Service Day event will provide new (in original packaging) electric fans…lots and lots of them, table-top, oscillating, floor stand, window and box fans…you name it, we’re bringing it. These fans will help our in-need neighbors stay cool and comfortable during this very warm time of year.

Windermere is teaming with the Nightingale Society, a volunteer auxiliary of the Visiting Nurse Association of the Inland Counties (VNAIC), for this very special event, in which fans will be made available to home health and hospice patients in need, each of whom is sure to appreciate ‘something cool.’

If you’d like to support this great community project, you can drop off new electric fans of all sizes and styles to any of the Windermere offices in the Coachella Valley any time until July 25th. Receipts are available in each office for tax purposes.

Now, how cool is that?

Windermere Managing Brokers Bring Experience and More

Thursday, April 28th, 2011

Windermere Real Estate, always a groundbreaker in the Coachella Valley and across Southern California, pioneered the concept of dedicated, non-competing Managing Brokers in each of its offices. The outcome is clear: each agent has the unlimited support of a fully licensed full-time Managing Broker.

Windermere Real Estate Managing Brokers

Windermere Real Estate Managing Brokers

This is not just a vague concept; it delivers very specific benefits to Windermere’s clients and the agents who serve them; Windermere Managing Brokers bring to their offices the combined experience of over 375 years, an average of more than 20 years each. With the real estate market continuing to reinvent itself, this vast pool of experience is a substantial asset, especially when coupled with myriad related career experiences that include Escrow, Finance, Leasing, REOs and Short Sales, Internet and Information Technology, Referrals and Relocation Services, and Real Estate Educators. Windermere Managing Brokers also serve currently with a number of Real Estate service organizations, including the National Association of Realtors and the Boards of Real Estate.

Windermere takes great pride in the superior service that is provided for every real estate transaction. Its family of experienced, professional Managing Brokers is an important component of that service.  “It’s simple,” says Bob Deville, co-owner, Windermere Southern California. “Hire the best – give them the best tools – and get out of their way.”
