Windermere agents just seem to attract attention everywhere. Maybe it’s that incredible style and awesome flair, or that legendary customer service. Or perhaps it’s the huge base of experience and support backing up every Windermere agent. Then again, it might just be those really cool sunglasses. We’re betting it’s a combination of ALL those things that has HGTVringing our bells.

Remember last week when we told you a couple of our agents’ very exceptional listings were on the short list in two of the voting categories of the HGTV Frontdoor Doory Awards: Bryan Schopp’s Palm Springs listing in the category ‘Homes Under $1M’ and Kerri Kerley’s La Quinta listing in the ‘Homes Under $250K’ category?

Well, HGTV knows a good thing when they see it, and now they’re back for more. Our sources have learned their cameras are busy filming for the hot HGTV reality show, ‘Selling LA’. Joe Woods of the Woods-Hitt Teamthinks the episode featuring their jaw-dropping Palm Springs Deepwell listing will air sometime in the fall. And Dan Thompson, whose unbelievably classic Palm Springs Little Tuscany listing is co-starring in the episode, is promising to keep us posted as soon as the date is announced. Just rest assured that when we know…you’ll know!

Windermere Southern California Sponsored and Participated in the La Quinta Park Easter Egg Hunt
Windermere agents are known for supporting the communities where they work, live and play, and agents from Windermere La Quinta (47-250 Washington Avenue), Old Town La Quinta (78-065 Main Street Suite 100), and Indio (81703 Highway 111) offices can usually be found at the center of what’s happening. On Saturday, April 7, Windermere partnered for the ninth year with the city of La Quinta for the annual La Quinta Park Easter Egg Hunt. Kids in four age groups found 8000 eggs (in two minutes flat), and 75 children in several age groups competed for stuffed animal prizes in the Chalk Drawing contest. On hand to report and help judge the festivities from KMIR 6 were Gloria Rodriguez, Today Anchor, and George Severson, News Director. Windermere balloons were everywhere, and the Easter Bunny willingly posed for photos with an endless stream of happy kids. Also on Saturday, Windermere co-sponsored the Indio Desert Recreation District’s event (at Community Center Park on Clinton Street). Included were egg-hunting, face painting, potato sack races, a hula hoop contest, and raffles for sporting goods. Windermere agents handed out Windermere balloons and chocolate, with news coverage again provided by KMIR Channel 6 News. And rounding out a day chock-full of Springtime fun, Windermere also co-sponsored with Coachella Recreation District the holiday event at Bagdouma Park, where more than 300 kids in 3 age groups hunted for brightly colored eggs, had their faces painted, and cavorted in the bouncing ball races. A special thanks to Windermere Indio agent Carmen Aceves, who hopped happily into her role as assistant Easter Bunny.

To its new Palm Desert Portola office (73993 Highway 111): Merritt Hamilton brings to real estate the precision and determination of his earlier career in law enforcement. His experience includes vacation home and manufactured home sales. “Real estate gives me the opportunity to apply my interest in home building, floor plan design, and land ownership,” says Merritt. June Johnson brings almost two decades of real estate experience to her buying and selling clients, who appreciate her quick response and follow-up. Her slogan is “Selling the Desert…one ‘yard’ at a time.” Kelly London brings 24 years of sales experience to Windermere, attracted to its extensive agent support and outstanding industry reputation. Rick Smedstad is known for his attention to detail. “I’m a good listener,” he says. “Once I know what the client wants, it’s simple…I’ll handle the details.” Rick is Home Affordable Foreclosure Alternatives (HAFA) certified. Marbee Willis builds upon her Bachelors in Business Management Administration with a foundation in property management. Her 10+ years in real estate include 3 years as a showing agent in La Quinta. Says Marbee, “Whatever you visualize, you will materialize.”
To its Indian Wells Main office (74-850 Highway 111): Linda Watson lives and works in Indian Wells, and appreciates being able to focus on her home city when collaborating with her buying and selling clients. She makes great use of experience gained working with her husband’s design and building business, which included apartments, homes, and office buildings in Washington and Hawaii.
To its La Quinta office (47-250 Washington Street): Kimberly Klink adds GRI (Graduate, Realtor Institute) to her Bachelors in Business Management. With more than 10 years in real estate, her knowledge of inventory makes her a favorite. Her slogan says it best: ‘Klink to Closing!’

The first week’s categories include listings by price.
